DER PUMPTRACK ROCKTE
Knapp zwei Wochen lang war der Sportplatz Lans für viele Kids inklusive zahlreicher Eltern ein täglicher Treffpunkt. Der Sportverein Lans organisierte und mietete vom 10.–24. Oktober einen modularen Pumptrack von der Firma PZP Austria Pumptrack Company. Diese neuartige Wellen- und Steilkurvenbahn war anfangs für viele unter uns etwas Neues, aber spätestens nach dem dritten Befahren des Rundkurses war man vom Pumptrack-Fieber erfasst. Altersunabhängig genossen Kinder ab 2 Jahren und auch viele Erwachsene den täglichen Geschwindigkeitsrausch und dessen Fliehkräfte, vergleichbar mit einer Achterbahnfahrt.
PUMPEN MIT ANDI AM NACHMITTAG & WORKSHOPS
Der Andrang an den Nachmittagen war riesengroß und anfangs kaum noch zu bewältigen. Die Kinder standen am Hotspot Pumptrack Schlange, die teilweise schon fast dieselbe Länge erreichte wie die Pumptrack selbst. So richtig rund ging es meistens zwischen 3–4 Uhr am Nachmittag nach Erledigung der Hausaufgaben. Bis zu 50 Kinder wollten zeitgleich Runde um Runde abspulen, aber maximal 4 Kinder konnten gleichzeitig den Rundkurs befahren. Nach etwa einer Minute Fahrzeit musste man die Strecke wieder verlassen. Ab sofort wussten wir, unser Herbst-Newlstter mit der Ankündigung unseres Vorhaben hat hohe Wellen geschlagen. Anmeldungen aus ganz Tirol trudelten für die Teilnahme bei unseren Workshops ein. Hier wurden wir tatkräftig von Sabine Oswald samt Team vom MTB Downhill & Freeride Verein Innsbruck unterstützt. Die Volkschule Lans und der Kindergarten Lans waren mit eigenen Workshops sowieso Fixstarter. Die Begeisterung war ungebrochen.
PUMPTRACKCREW
Unsere Pumptrackcrew um Andi Frick, Mario Webhofer und Lolo Seiwald spulte mit den Kids Tag für Tag zahlreiche Runden am Track. Für Verpflegung am Gelände war spätestens ab den dritten Tag auch bestens gesorgt. Ausgiebig unterstützt während der Pumptrack Week wurden wir ungebrochen durch Sabine Partl, Julia Frick, Monika Seiwald und Paul Held. Die tägliche Auseinanderstzung zwischen Eltern und Kindern, ob dies nun die letzte oder doch vorletzte Runde sei oder nicht war jedenfalls immer wieder ein heißer Diskussionspunkt. Nach Hause ging es öfters erst nach Einbruch der Dunkelheit.
 FLUTLICHT SESSIONS
An zwei Abenden drehte man das Flutlicht an und so konnten die motivierten Erwachsenen zwischen 18.30–20.00 Uhr ihre Runden abspulen. Bei feinem Sound und gegenseitigen Puschen wurde die Kurvenlage immer flacher. Daniel Tulla konnte am Pumptrack in Lans erstmals die 9 Sekunden Marke knacken. Die Zeit gemessen mit einem Lichtschrankensystem blieb bei 8,75 Sekunden stehen. Auch Größen aus der Tiroler Biker-Szene wie Benni Purner, Gerhard Senfter, Andi Pröller und die Grogger Family ließen sich in Lans sehen und kurvten die Runden.
PUMPTRACK MASTERS LANS
Am Ende von zwei ereignisreichen Wochen organisierte der Sportverein Lans noch für 21. Oktober 2017 die PUMPTRACK MASTERS LANS. Unter dem Motto „Wer knackt die Weltrekord-Zeit von 7,2 Sekunden auf dieser Strecke?“ pumpten 60 Starter im Alter von 6 bis knapp 60 Jahren um die Wette. Allerdings stand für die meisten Teilnehmer der Spass an einer Teilnahme im Fokus. Zeitnehmung, offizielle Trainings, gute Verpflegung und feiner Sound war am Sportplatz vorzufinden. Alle Zutaten für einen spannenden und netten Nachmittag. Am Ende der Veranstaltung gab es tolle Sachpreise und eine persönliche Urkunde für jeden Starter. Der schnellste Biker des Tages war Michael Plattner mit der absoluten Bestzeit von 7,95 Sekunden. Bilder zum Event gibt in der nachstehenden Galerie.
 Es war eine wunderschöne Zeit in der hunderte Kinder täglich mit Begeisterung regelmäßig und stundenlang Sport ausübten. Im Beisein der Eltern, Großeltern, Verwandte und Bekannte werden uns diese beiden Wochen beim Flanieren am Sportplatz Lans noch lange in Erinnerung bleiben.
